Feb/March Challenge Week 4

Here we are at week 4 of the Feb/Challenge. We got some snow so I decided to do a little snow dyeing. It’s been years! Here is my favorite of the two shirts I dyed. This was using Kingfisher Blue. I’m looking forward to wearing it this summer.

I also dyed a piece of fabric for my stash. I am always looking for a green, and I love this one – Grass Green.

In my quest to use up my scraps, I made a snippet roll. It’s not done yet, and I’ll post more about it this week.

Also, I broke down and got a SewEzi table for my Elna. I love the one I bought for my Juki awhile back, so thought it would be nice to have one for the Elna. Now when I move from the one to the other, they are at the same height. I mentioned earlier that I somehow screwed up my Juki. I took her in and inside they found lots of thread around the hand wheel and it was making it’s way through the machine. My service guy said I was lucky I didn’t do damage to the machine. How did the thread get in the machine? I “stored” my bobbin thread on the other thread holder which is near the hand wheel. I found out online that I was not the only one who had done that and had that problem. So now the thread goes back in the thread box until I need it.

i also played around with my scraps making a block with Jean Well’s gentle curve technique. I really don’t see me making quilt blocks, but thought the technique would work in some small projects. Here is my first attempt which I’m really happy with.

I continue to feel inspired which is a good thing. I’d love to see what you are doing. Comment below or add your blog post to the linky so others can see what you are doing. Until next time, stay warm. Spring is coming!
