Since the only fabric paints I had available and I just had to try these screens right away, I used Lumiere by Jacquard on these following pieces. These are metallic acrylics. They are beautiful, but a bit hard to photograph showing their beauty.
I started with several pieces of white cotton fabric. They are much prettier in person.
Then I went on to try printing on some blue hand dyed fabric. Ooo, la, la!
Then on to a piece of commercially dyed fabric.
Then the last printing was on that black fabric that I had printed previously using a gelatin plate.
I still have two screens to play with. I was having so much fun printing with this one, I hated to quit.
This was a fun process. Using other textile paints would look better on the white fabric. I’d love to incorporate more of this type of printing in my art and would love to have a couple of my photos made into screens.
Margaret, thank you so much for the giveaway and allowing me to have these beautiful designs to play with. Be sure and check out Margaret’s etsy shop. She has some beautiful screens you might like to use in your pieces.
