Yesterday I stopped by Make Time To Create, a local craft studio/store, to attend a watercolor card class.
I bought these Twinkling H20s several years ago in Nashville, Indiana on a getaway with hubby. We were checking out all the quaint little stores and there down an alley was a great shop with all kinds of neat stuff for crafters.
I had used them on a few projects but nothing lately. I thought this would be a good way for me to drag these out and play.
Anita Vowel, our teacher, had already stamped and embossed the image so we could all concentrate on using the watercolors. For the first card, I used the mica watercolors that she had for us.
For the second card I wanted to see how my Twinkling H20s would work.
I really didn’t see much difference and liked both. I love blending colors in the second card. Anita was a very good instructor giving us clear instructions and offering encouragement along the way. It was a fun time.
I love taking classes, both live and online. I’m really looking forward to Water, Paper and Paint, a watercolor class taught by Connie Walts at East Branch Library. It starts September 6 and runs through October 11.
But I also love to teach so on October 12, my Fearless Art Journaling class will start for five weeks. I have been working on this class for quite a long time and am really excited to teach it. If you are local and are interested in these classes or others, check out East Branch Library.
I also will be teaching Journaling 101 – a two-hour workshop at the Lincoln Heritage Public Library in Dale, Indiana on October 3. Every year I’ve been teaching at least one regular journaling or Telling Your Story class usually at the University of Southern Indiana. It will be fun to take it on the road to Dale.
I love online classes but there is nothing like “live” classes where I can interact with the other students and the teacher. I’ve found after teaching online classes, that I prefer “live” because of the group dynamics. I get to know the students and see them excited and having fun.
How do you feel about online vs live classes? Do you take any classes? Thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful Tuesday!
