On a variety of blogs and Facebook, there’s a challenge going around to post something we are grateful for every day until Thanksgiving. For me, giving gratitude is not just for this time of the year, but for all-year long. I like making journals, but I especially like gratitude journals. This year I thought I’d share my artwork in case you’d like to make your own, or even make several for friends as gifts.
With my trusty Zutter Bind-It-All (love those gadgets!) I could have made this booklet from scratch, but decided that it was easier and faster to buy a $1 journal at Michaels.
I covered the front and back covers with DCWV Pocket Full Of Posies paper, printed out the quote and the label on cardstock, cut them with Spellbinder dies, and inked the edges. I also grabbed a piece of velvet ribbon from my ribbon bin and stuck it under the label. I’ve included the artwork in black in case you don’t want to use my color scheme.
For more information on journaling and gratitude journals, see my sister site, Heartwriting.
I’m excited and all ready to start my gratitude journal on January 1. Will you join me in keeping a gratitude journal this year?
